Greg Mahugh began his career in the wholesale auto auction industry in 1978 at South Seattle Auto Auction. Hired initially by the McConkey family to work at an entry-level position in check-in, Mahugh held a variety of different positions over the years. Eventually, he worked through the ranks to become the General Manager of South Seattle Auto Auction in 1986 under GE Capital, and later Manheim ownership.

In 1992, Mahugh and Bob McConkey founded DAA Northwest in Spokane, Washington. Since its inception, DAA Northwest has become one of the nation’s premier independent auto auctions. In 2011, the two partners also founded El Paso Independent Auto Auction in El Paso, Texas.

As Senior Vice President and General Manager at DAA Northwest, Mahugh is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the auction. In addition, he is an auctioneer and can be found selling on the block each week.
