Montana native Leonard “Len” Roll graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1981. He entered the vehicle reconditioning field that year as owner of Len’s Custom Carriage and Auto Body. After selling the business in 1985, he spent two years as head mechanic for Darrell Soucher Racing on the “World of Outlaws” Sprint Car Racing Tour.

Following his time on the racing tour, Roll returned to the auto body trade as assistant manager of Midland Dodge’s auto body shop. Shortly thereafter, Midland was contracted to handle all paint and body work for Big Sky Auto Auction in Billings, Montana. While at Midland, Len was responsible for all auction condition report reviews, final sale preparation and completion of all auto body and paint work.

From this point forward in his career, Len has remained in the wholesale auction industry. First, as body shop and factory sale condition report manager with South Seattle Auto Auction, then with Insurance Auto Auctions and later, in 1996 with Dealers Auto Auction of Tri-Cities. While at DAA of Tri-Cities, he managed lot operations, transportation, reconditioning, condition reports and post-sale inspections. During his tenure with the auction, Roll started a salvage sale that was later sold to Copart and is still operating today.

After the sale of the salvage business in 2000, Roll relocated to Spokane, Washington where he began managing the auto body center for DAA Northwest. Today, in his expanded position as reconditioning manager, Len oversees the auto body center (both wholesale and retail), detail shop, mechanical shop, condition report writing, post-sale structural damage inspections, and facility construction and maintenance. In addition, he serves on DAA’s Strategic Management Team.

Roll resides in Spokane with his wife Patty and their daughter Bridget.
